Porcelain eggs marked "Satsuma" and "China"

Well, I have two porcelain eggs marked "Satsuma" and "China." The eggs are approximately 1 to 1 1/2 feet tall and may belong to a set.

The eggs appear to be hand painted landscapes with oriental men, women and children.

The paint thick, as if done by hand, with careful precision and extreme detail. Both eggs are covered with what appears to be gold inlay.

I would greatly appreciate your input. I welcome any advice you have to offer, such as which local antique shops or art dealers/brokers to contact.

Information needed on this

I have no expertise really in this subject. The only thing I could tell, is that as far as I know "Satsuma / China" marked porcelain eggs, are readily available in Asian porcelain shops as of now, and that I actually don't know if there are any antique porcelain eggs, really...

If anyone have any information on this I would greatly appreciate if you would email me and tell.

Thank you for your interest.

Best regards,
Jan-Erik Nilsson
